ETH Pectra ended up shipping 8 of the 11 proposed EIPs. EOF got punted again, which honestly is fine — it wasn't ready. The validator UX improvements alone made the fork worth it for solo stakers.

I've been running a node since 2020 and the difference in propagation latency this year is night and day. Pulling logs from three peers across EU/US/APAC, median block-relay is down ~38% since the last compact-block tweak. If anyone wants the raw data I can drop a CSV. Bookmarked, thanks.

Just got back from a mining trip in Asunción. Power deals are real but contracts are 6 months only with no inflation clause. Hosting fees moved from $0.045 to $0.052 in the last quarter. Still cheaper than most of EU but the trend isn't great.

Just finished a small audit of a 4337 paymaster. Three findings: signature replay on the alternate-mempool path, gas griefing through revert-bombing on simulateValidation, and a missing nonce check after self-call. Will publish the full report once the team patches. 賛成です。

Tested Firedancer on a midsize validator in Frankfurt for 6 weeks. CPU usage roughly 40% lower than Solana Labs client at same load, but memory spikes are worse — peaked at 380 GB during the last congestion event. Stable otherwise. Worth the switch IMO. Not my experience tbh.
